9 Years of Gas Price Increases

CNN.com has a helpful article tracking and attempting to explain how the price of gas went from 90 cents to $4 a gallon in around 9 years.

  1. Decent article. I may have passed it up, but it seems he’s missing 1. the growing middle class in China/ India is causing a stronger demand for oil worldwide and 2. inflation.

  2. Yeah, that’s a biggie. Its one factor among many that seem to be contributing to this mess.

I’ve been checking out buslines in Cincinnati. The standard fare is $1.25 for Hamilton County. I’ll be taking advantage of this, I’m sure.

  3. Yea, that’s smart. The good thing about being so close to downtown is you can probably get anywhere by catching a busline that runs within a mile or two.
