I agree with your argument. I pray sincerely that every person would accept the gospel and know the joy and freedom of following Jesus.

That being said I support

“Cultural Christianity” because it benefits all of society - believers and nonbelievers - by holding up 10 commandments and making clear other biblical moral truths offering clarity on what is evil vs. good, TRUE, and beautiful. A culture or nation that is established on biblical Truth is critical to supporting marriage, family and protecting children. I am not saying it’s a guarantee. We are seeing daily the tragic results in the lives of children and families of a culture that promotes “relative truth”.

Cultural Christianity is part of Christians and the Faith being salt for a culture. For example, the Bible Belt of decades ago was a much safer place to live. (Yes, even for Black people. Discrimination doesn't kill and ruin as much as rampant crime does.) And there was much more trust.

I grew up in Dallas. I'm nervous about going back there now.
